JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The findings of the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) for the period 29 January-5 February 2024 show that the electability of the presidential candidate pair and vice presidential candidate (capres-cawapres) number 2 Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming reached 51.9 percent.
The electability percentage is based on a simulation of the ballot papers for presidential and vice presidential candidates.
Meanwhile, pair number 1 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar is in second place with an electability percentage of 23.3 percent.
Meanwhile, pair number 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD is in third position with an electability level of 20.3 percent.
From this simulation, there were 4.4 percent of respondents who had not provided an answer.
“Prabowo-Gibran 51.9 percent was the most frequently chosen, then Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar 23.3 percent, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD 20.3 percent, yet to give an answer of 4.4 percent,” wrote LSI in its survey findings.
Apart from that, in a closed simulation of three names, Prabowo’s electability level reached 50 percent, followed by Anies 27 percent and Ganjar 19.6 percent.
From this simulation, there were still 7.7 percent of respondents who had not provided an answer.
“Prabowo was chosen the most with 50 percent, then Anies Baswedan with 22.7 percent, and Ganjar Pranowo with 19.6 percent, yet to give an answer of 7.7 percent,” wrote LSI.
The survey methodology was carried out through face-to-face interviews involving 1,220 respondents aged 17 years or older.
The survey’s margin of error is approximately 2.9 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
