Leader of North Korea (North Korea) Kim Jong Un has repeatedly called South Korea its main enemy. In fact, Kim has no doubt that he will end South Korea if attacked.
The statement was made while visiting large weapons factories, North Korean state media, the Korea Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Wednesday, as reported by the news agency AFP, Wednesday (10/1/2024). Kim said Pyongyang’s priority was improving military capabilities for self-defense and preventing nuclear war.
“If South Korea dares to attempt to use armed force against North Korea or threaten its sovereignty and security and such an opportunity arises, we will not hesitate to annihilate South Korea by mobilizing all means and forces at our disposal,” KCNA reported.
Six days later, Kim made a similar statement. He called for the country’s constitution to be changed to ensure that South Korea (South Korea) is seen as the ‘main enemy’.

Kim Jong Un Announces No Reconciliation
Kim called for a rewriting of the North Korean constitution to remove the idea of joint statehood between the two war-torn Koreas. KCNA reported that in his speech at the North Korean parliament session, the Supreme People’s Assembly on Monday (15/1) local time, Kim blamed South Korea and the United States for increasing tensions in the region, with the expansion of their joint military exercises, the deployment of US strategic military assets, and work same trilateral security with Japan.
Kim said these actions had turned the Korean Peninsula into a dangerous war risk zone.

Kim also ordered the removal of symbols of past inter-Korean reconciliation, to “completely eliminate concepts such as ‘reunification,’ ‘reconciliation’ and ‘compatriots’ from the national history of our republic.”
