In Gironde, the reduction in RSA expenditure is used to finance the upgrading of home help
In its 2021 supplementary budget, voted on October 11, 2021, Gironde reduced the amount dedicated to the RSA by €10 million. “Exceptionally, this allocation has declined significantly this year” (fewer entries, more exits), explains the community, noting a call for funds of €23.6 million in January and 19, €8 million in September. Accommodation for disabled people was also less requested (- €5 million); families favoring home care during the crisis. The CD redeployed these 15 M€ “saved” towards children’s policy and the reception of unaccompanied minors (+7 M€), towards the elderly (allocating 2 M€ in addition to accommodation and 1.4 M€ to the APA) and to increase the remuneration of the 3,000 SAAD employees (3.9 M€) since October 1. Over a full year, this revaluation will cost €15 million, before 50% coverage by the CNSA from 2022.
