Clear and precise: Maria Gabriel – Prime Minister, MFA – of GERB, if it does not happen, there will be no further negotiations, GERB leader Boyko Borisov told journalists in the parliament.
According to him, GERB-SDS will not cede the foreign ministry to PP-DB. “If the rotation does not happen, we will go to 2 in 1 elections – for the Bulgarian and European Parliament, so that we do not spend 300-400 million BGN again. If the rotation does not happen, this will happen later,” said the leader of GERB.
Foreign Ministry, the only one we have – in our country, a minister should be elected who protects state interests, not party interests, all other ministers and regional governors remain with them (PP-DB), explained Borisov.
He also commented on Prime Minister Academician Nikolay Denkov’s statement that he does not want the position of foreign minister as such, but to make the voice of PP-DB heard abroad. “I am shocked by yesterday’s statement by Acad. Denkov, who wanted a foreign ministry, not so that the voice of Bulgaria, the government, the people, but the PP-DB could be heard. Now that you have gone there – Vassilev, Radev, Bogdanov, only PP ministers, whose voice do they hear there? Is the PP’s voice heard in America for 10 days?” Borissov emphasized.
He also commented on why the GERB supported the PP-DB-SS candidate Tsvetomir Petrov for the chairman of the Metropolitan Municipal Council. “We saw that both in the state and there, they can’t cope. Mayor Terziev can’t make a majority. I gave an example – when I became mayor, out of 61 municipal councilors, I didn’t have a single one of mine. All the committees were distributed and I ruled for two years and then they elected me again. So after they saw yesterday that we are going to elections, and no one needs to have elections for the Municipal Council in Sofia now, because the mayor is wavering,” said Borisov.
“They couldn’t do it seven times. And yesterday they couldn’t do it again. It’s just that the parties made a decision to prolong this hell for a while, until someone would have the sense to do something right. We would have been in elections,” he said.
According to Borisov, PP-DB-SS are only interested in posts and money.
