Bogor

Product premium rice Several minimarkets were observed to be empty. Rice has become a rare item in the past week.

From observation detikcom, Friday (9/2/2024), in several minimarkets such as Alfa and Indomaret in Bogor City, it was observed that premium rice in packages of 2.5-5 kilograms was difficult to find. Mostly there are only brown rice products.

There is only one minimarket that sells premium rice and only one 5 kilogram package of rice is on display. The officer said it was remaining stock and they had not received any additional stock of premium rice.

“This is our last stock. We haven’t received any goods for more than 5 days,” said one of the shop staff when met detikcom.

In other minimarkets, we haven’t been able to get rice in stock for more than a week. Therefore the rice shelves are empty.

There are also minimarkets that only get their rice stock in one day and it immediately sells out. The shortage of premium rice stocks has been going on for more than a week.

“It’s been more than a week since the stock was scarce. The last time we had the goods, we got a little, and they were sold out in a day,” said the shop clerk we met. detikcom.

Only the shop limits purchases to two packages each. There is a clearly displayed purchase restriction notice board on the rice shelf.

“Restrictions on purchasing rice, 5 kg. Max 2 pcs,” appears on the notice board.

It means to buy premium rice 2.5 kilogram packaging can only be a maximum of 5 kilograms. Meanwhile, for 5 kilogram packages of premium rice, the maximum purchase is only 10 kilograms.

“We’re limiting it because we have a little stock. The maximum is 2 packs. It’s been like this since two weeks ago,” said the shop clerk.

Not only is it rare, the price of rice has also continued to rise in recent times. Monitoring detikcom in two markets located in South Jakarta on Thursday (8/2/2024), for example, a number of traders were selling rice, especially premium types at high prices for the last two weeks.
