Ford Modernizes B-Segment Crossover Puma with Redesigned Interior and Advanced Multimedia Equipment

Ford has modernized the B-segment crossover Puma, slightly refreshing its appearance, redesigning the interior, improving the multimedia equipment and related solutions.

Visual changes are minor and in this case relate to new Matrix LED lights and a larger brand logo in the center of the radiator grille. Six new body color options and light-metal wheel rims in 17-19 inch format should be added to this. The cabin will have a new front panel and steering wheel with multifunction buttons, 12.8-inch digital gauges for the driver and a central 12-inch multimedia system touch screen. The new Sync-4 multimedia device works twice as fast, is equipped with Alexa voice assistant, supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The range of electronic assistants is complemented by Predictive Speed Assist – an advanced version of intelligent cruise control, which, according to the brand, allows “automatically adjusting speed to easily negotiate road bends or highway exits”.

Regular Pumas are equipped with a 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid turbo engine (125/155 hp) in combination with a manual or robotic gearbox, but the sporty modification Puma ST receives a 170 hp version of this engine in combination with Powershift.

The manufacturer has announced that it will introduce an electric Puma model by the end of the year, but no details about this project are yet to be revealed.
