Times Square Assault: Latest Updates on Unarrested Accused Individuals & Charges

“Two more accused people have not been arrested and their names remain sealed until they are prosecuted before the Supreme Court,” the statement clarifies.

The authorities make 212-335-9040 available to provide information on the whereabouts of the rest of the accused.

One of them was wearing a black jacket, light blue hood and black pants. He allegedly kicked and then grabbed an officer’s leg. He was detained at the scene but eventually released by the NYPD.

The other individual was wearing a red, white and blue FILA jacket, and allegedly grabbed an officer. Later that night, Wilson Juárez was found wearing the same jacket.

The criminal charges the defendants face

Yohenry Brito, Darwin Andrés Gómez Izquiel, Yorman Reverón and Kelvin Servita Arocha are charged with two counts of second-degree assault and one count of second-degree obstruction of government administration.

Meanwhile, Wilson Juárez and Yohenry Brito were accused of tampering with physical evidence.

“The assault on our police officers in Times Square outraged and sickened me. We have absolutely no tolerance for this despicable behavior,” said prosecutor Alvin Bragg.

How the attack on the police officers occurred, according to the court document

On January 27, near 220 West 42nd Street, two police officers ordered the defendants to West 41st Street. Finally, an officer grabbed Yohenry Brito and pushed him against a building.

Brito then attempted to escape and fought the officers while being held on the ground. He then fled the scene and was arrested on January 31.

The first four individuals arrested that night were Gómez Izquiel, Juárez, Arocha and Reverón, but it is Gómez Izquiel who is accused of allegedly grabbing one officer and kicking the other once.

Reverón allegedly grabbed, pulled and threw the two officers to the ground.

The document clarifies that Juárez and Arocha did not hit any of the police officers, but Arocha kicked a radio and Juárez watched from a distance, waiting for Brito to give him his gray jacket.
