Kochi: ‘Premalu’ is the latest film of Bhavana Studios, which has given Malayalam cinema a handful of great films. This movie is directed by Girish AD. Premalu will hit the theaters on February 9. The film is produced by Fahad Fazil and Shyam Pushkaran.
After the films ‘Tanneermattan Dinamanal’ and ‘Super Sharanya’, Girish AD’s ‘Premalu’ is set in Hyderabad and tells the story of the young generation. Naslan K Ghafoor and Mamita Baiju are playing the central roles in this film. Director Girish Eddy said that he hopes that people will take up ‘Premalu’ like his previous films. The team of ‘Premalu’ was talking to the mediapersons in connection with the release of the film.
The director replied to the question whether the pattern of repeating the stories, characters and stars like in the films ‘Super Sharanya’ and ‘Tanneer Mathan Dinamal’ continues in Premalu. He has followed the style of his earlier films. But the concept of the movie is completely different.
It is better to travel the path of knowing exactly what the audience will like than to create an experimental film with a new look and feel, changing his artistry and methods. Girish AD also said that he will try to prepare the film in a new way by changing the similarity of style felt by the audience in the future.
Meanwhile, Dileesh Pothan stated that the only reason Bhavana Studios took up the production of ‘Premalu’ was their faith in director Girish AD. Bhavana Studios took over the production of ‘Premalu’ with the intention of producing a film by director Girish AD. Bhavana Studio is a part of this film by fully trusting the director.
Producer Dileesh Pothan said that Bhavana Studios has always tried to make films that the audience likes. On the other hand, the initial discussions of ‘Premalu’ with Basil Joseph and Nazriya as the main characters were spread earlier. But the director and producer clarified that such news is not true.
Other actors in Premalu include Shyam Mohan, Akhila Bhargavan, Sangeet Pratap, Altaf Salim and Meenakshi Ravindran. The script of the film has been written by Girish AD and Kiran Josi.
