A man was arrested and placed in pre-trial detention for two attempted kidnappings in the small town of La Garde, near Toulon (Var). A judicial investigation was opened by the Toulon prosecutor, Samuel Finielz.
Yesterday morning, around 8 a.m., a teenage girl noticed a man following her as she went to the bus stop. By chance, the young girl meets a neighbor who takes her to school by car.
A few minutes later, the individual went to the front of the primary school where he grabbed a 10-year-old girl by the arm. It was thanks to the intervention of a member of the establishment’s staff that the individual fled.
The suspect was immediately arrested. His criminal record includes several convictions for sexual assault, but which do not concern minors.
