The Slovak Olympic champion moved to Switzerland on Sunday, and on Monday morning she underwent surgery at the renowned Hospital di Valais in Sion, performed by the sought-after specialist Olivier Siegrist.
The intervention of the sought-after expert, who has already helped several skiing stars, turned out well.
Under normal circumstances, a person would stay in the hospital for another two or three days and then return to home treatment.

However, it will be different with Petra. Vlhová should spend at least a week at the Swiss clinic, probably up to ten days.
“My friend Michal should also come to see her,” he revealed to Sport24 a source close to the skiing team.
Since Vlhová is a top athlete, in Switzerland they will adjust the period of hospitalization and observation accordingly.
In the first days after the operation, they will carefully monitor the level of pain about the swelling of the incriminated knee, whether the wound is healing properly and there is no infection.

“The operation was successful, Petra feels good, she is recovering as planned and thanks all the fans who keep their fingers crossed for her from afar,” said Mauro Pini, head coach of Petra Vlhová’s Niké Ski Team, shortly after the operation.
Vlhová was injured during the giant slalom of the World Cup in Jasná in January. The hard fall came in the opening round of the “workshop” at the home center.
Paramedics came to her aid, the injured woman had to be lifted on a rescue sled and then transported by helicopter to the hospital. She completed her first examinations in Ružomberok.
