England Premier League (EPL) Tottenham Hotspur manager Anger Postecoglou promised a 9-year-old boy suffering from cancer a meeting with Son Heung-min.
On the 3rd, Britain’s ‘TNT Sports’ released a video of 9-year-old fan Freddie’s interview with coach Postekoglou as the first episode of the fan interview series ‘Connected’ on its official YouTube channel. A 9-year-old boy fan was diagnosed with cancer in June last year and can no longer play soccer. However, he still takes Tottenham merchandise to the hospital for comfort.
The boy asked manager Postekoglou about running Tottenham and dreamed of Harry Kane returning and winning the Premier League. Freddie said, “I am 9 years old, and my favorite soccer team is Tottenham. I came to love Tottenham after watching my grandfather play.”
Freddie asked coach Postekoglou several questions. When asked, ‘What is the best thing about being the manager of Tottenham?’ the manager said, “Meeting people who love football like you,” and added, “I’m happy to meet families from multiple generations who love Tottenham. “Because I know what it means to them.”
When Freddie asked, “If you had money, which player would you want to buy?” Coach Postekoglou smiled and said, “It’s a very difficult question.” “Actually, I love the players in the current squad so much. “I like working with Son Heung-min, Romero, Vicky Lao, etc.”
When asked, ‘When do you think Tottenham will win the championship?’ he said, “My hope and wish is that it will happen soon,” and “Not just because of the victory, but to bring joy to fans like you.” When asked, ‘Can we bring Harry Kane back?’ he said, “It would be great if possible, but even if he is not with us now, what he did will remain forever.”

This time, coach Postekoglou asked Freddie, “Who is your favorite player among the players playing now?” In response, Freddie said, “Sonny (Son Heung-min),” and “Because he is kind and a player who really scores goals.”
To this, Director Postekoglou said, “Your answer is absolutely perfect. You started by saying that Son Heung-min is kind. That shows what a great person he is. And he’s a really good guy. that’s right. “He’s a great football player and a great person.”
After the interview, Coach Postekoglou gave Freddie a gift, a uniform with his name and number 9 written on it. Before parting ways with Freddie, Director Postekoglou hugged him tightly and said, “Keep working hard,” and “Let’s meet Sonny next time.” “I’ll make sure you meet Sonny,” he said, and Freddie smiled brightly.
