The Junín Radical Youth carries out different solidarity campaigns throughout the year. On this occasion, within the framework of the return to school on March 1, the institution focuses on receiving and collecting donations that will be important for many children who cannot access the basic school basket.
Through their social networks, the Youth spread their proposal: “We started the campaign to donate supplies so that each boy and girl can put together their backpack for the return to school. For this, we need your collaboration. Every minimal contribution that can be made is a grain of sand that helps, and together we can.”

Democracy spoke with its president María Magdalena Rojas Candela: “The collection officially began in February, but since January we have been asking people to go around asking at home or if they have supplies to donate, younger siblings or cousins who can donate.”
Regarding the destination of the supplies, Rojas Candela said that “we analyze how many supplies we collect to see where we take them. Once we see more or less that issue, we begin to analyze which picnic area or dining room is most in need. Last year we took it to Little Dragons, in Ricardo Rojas, who needed a lot of things.”
Meanwhile, in that experience a year ago, the Youth President remarked that “when we went to the Ricardo Rojas neighborhood we identified that there were many episodes of violence. From there we made a project that we presented to the Deliberative Council at the time. and that it was approved unanimously, which is that all snack bars, soup kitchens, neighborhood groups and neighborhood entities that provide services helping to inform themselves and take courses on how to deal with the issue of violence.”
