Rijswijk – An accident with a tail, tonight on General Eisenhowerplein.
Around ten past eight, the driver of a van collided head-on with a traffic pole. Some street furniture was also hit. The van was severely damaged.
After the police arrived, the driver was arrested and put in a surveillance car. Possibly related to driving under the influence.
When he started to stir after some time in the back seat – at least in a negative way – he was pulled out of the police vehicle by several officers and still handcuffed. He was then taken to the police station.
No one was injured in the accident, but the damage was extensive.
