Brazilian winger Sávio, 19, left Atletico Mineiro for French ESTAC Troyes in the summer of 2022.
However, the winger never played for the French club – but he was immediately loaned to Dutch PSV Eindhoven.
However, Sávio received a lack of playing time at PSV Eindhoven, and the majority of time was spent in the top club’s second team.
Ahead of this season, he was loaned to sister club Girona – and Sávio has now had his big breakthrough on European soil.
This season, the winger has accounted for five goals and seven assists in 23 games in La Liga – and Girona are currently second in the table.
Yesterday, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Sávio is on the verge of being sold to another sister club of Troyes, namely Manchester City.
The English club agree to sign the Brazilian – and he will join this summer.
However, it is not certain that next season will be spent in the Premier League. Relevo now writes that Manchester City will loan the winger.
According to the Spanish site, he is expected to spend next season in Girona as well – provided the club qualifies for the Champions League.
The Spanish club are also said to be extremely happy about the possibility of keeping the offensive Brazilian.
Girona are currently eleven points behind Athletic Bilbao, who are fifth – and thus the chances of reaching the Champions League are good.
