Practiced customs and traditions are very important in almost all countries and cultures in the world; many people maintain both with a lot of passion and nostalgia. Traditions as cultural assets serve, on the one hand, for identity: people acknowledge their homeland and feel connected to it. On the other hand, the history of the country, a city, a village or a region is reflected in traditions and customs. A piece of the past “lives on” in the now.
