Innovations in Youth Practices: AJT34 Network Brings Together Over 200 Participants for Round Table Discussions

At the call of AJT34, a network co-hosted by five youth and popular education associations (I-PEICC Montpellier, Francas de l’Hérault, Familles Rurales Hérault, UFCV Occitanie and CEMEA Occitanie), more than 200 people from across the department gathered in the multipurpose room. “The world is changing, young people are changing!” On this observation, the participants, teen leaders, service managers, association leaders, elected officials, representatives of institutions such as the Department, the Caf debated all day around possible innovations to implement in their practices.

The work allowed participants to discuss, reflect and meet on youth projects carried out in their territories, but also to debate on the conditions of practice in youth activities. During the working hours, organized in the form of round tables and inspiring testimonies, on initiatives carried out in the Hérault regions, the participants first identified the issues for young people today, then expressed their experiences on the constraints encountered to then find solutions, via existing actions or by exploring new solutions.

After evaluating the day via a fun activity offered by facilitators from the AJT network, the participants arranged to meet for the third meetings and for the training days, the next cycle of which will begin in March.
