At least 180 thousand vaccines against Covid-19 have been applied to adults in Baja California with the Abdala dose from Cuba, according to the state’s Secretary of Health, Adrián Medina Amarillas.
“The one we are applying in the Ministry of Health is the Abdala vaccine and in pharmacies or in private establishments there is the option of the Pfizer and the modern vaccine,” he noted.
He mentioned that the Molecules Committee of the Federal Commission for Protection Against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) authorized the marketing and application of the Patria vaccine, made by Mexico, however, it is not yet available.
“There is still no availability and I feel that due to the current date, it will hardly be available this season, it is likely that it will be reserved to be used as a reinforcement for the next winter season,” he considered.
On the other hand, in some pharmacies in the city the Pfizer vaccine is being marketed with a price of 899 pesos for adults and the application for girls and boys around 760 pesos for the same brand.
