Russian media show pictures of Carlson in several places in the city.
– It is beautiful here, he says further to the newspaper Izvestija.
The authorities in the Kremlin have also been asked whether Carlson will interview President Vladimir Putin.
– We have nothing to announce regarding the president’s interviews with foreign media, says Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in a statement.
According to Tucker Carlson, Vanity Fair long spoke warmly of Putin and his regime, and equally disparagingly of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
In December, Carlson launched its own subscription-based streaming service.
Carlson and Fox abruptly parted ways last April, less than a week after the company entered into force a settlement in the lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems, which makes voting machines.
The company sued the channel for spreading baseless claims that the machines were used for electoral fraud, and the parties entered into a settlement for 787.5 million dollar.
The 53-year-old has been one of Fox’s most popular but also controversial stars. Among other things, he wholeheartedly stood up for Donald Trump’s claim of election fraud, and he had many supporters among conspiracy theorists on the far right, both in the US and internationally.
