Lasasha Gouldbourne faces involuntary manslaughter charges months after her newborn twin was found stuffed in a laundry bag in the Bronx (NYC).
According to the NYPD, The suspect’s mother was the one who found her granddaughter among the dirty clothes. Gouldbourne, 31, was arrested Tuesday for involuntary manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, assault, and acting in a manner detrimental to a minor.
The charges stem from his alleged actions after giving birth to a premature baby girl in the bathroom of a friend’s house in Bronx Park East near Britton St. in the Allerton neighborhood on September 1, reported yesterday Daily News.
Gouldbourne was accused of putting the newborn in a laundry bag with her clothes and taking her to her mother’s house, which is a few blocks away. He gave the bag to his mother, who normally washes his clothes, without telling her what was inside.
