Two videos have appeared on the CGtall_com YouTube channel demonstrating what The Witcher 3 and Call of Duty games could look like on the Unreal Engine 5.
The first video shows locations from World War II. As you know, the first parts of CoD took place during this period. It’s hard to say whether these scenes look better than on the native engine – some story scenes in recent games looked very cool, even better than what is shown here.
The second video shows a forest landscape that immediately resembles The Witcher 3. The Witcher setting was definitely taken as the basis.
As far as we know, Activision has no plans for a Call of Duty remake. Even if the next part of CoD takes place in World War II, the developers will still use their own IW Engine.
On the other hand, CD Projekt RED has switched to Unreal Engine 5 for The Witcher 4. So let’s see if the graphics can compare to those shown in this video.
