“I remember a lot of things from this match, good and bad. First, we were finally able to validate this away victory against Castres, then we validate our month of January which was remarkable. Furthermore, I found that our match preparation had once again been very, very good, I think we have really turned a corner.
The first 35 minutes were rather good performances, with a lot of alternation. Afterwards, end of the first-beginning of the second half, we were a little worse. Then, we rushed a little, we got a little panicked and we lacked control. But tonight, we are proud of our month of January and our match. We’ll be able to have a relaxing week’s vacation, it’s been a long time since that happened.

I’m not questioning the quality of our game, but I didn’t find the Lyonnais very lively in the first half. It seemed pretty easy to me. Nevertheless, we did things well. I don’t know if this match will be an additional trigger, the fact remains that it brings grist to our mill in relation to our reconstruction project. In any case, it brings positive things to the players’ confidence.”
On Anthony Belleau, his opener:
“Today, I see Antho as the player we saw in Toulon, Agen and in the French team. He is a high-level player. Afterwards, the stories of a season, of a career… Sometimes it takes time. He arrived after a monster of the ASM, Camille Lopez. Combined with the departure of Morgan Parra… When I arrived, I understood that the two managed a lot of things on the plan athletic, they were kind of second coaches. So when Anthony arrived, it was too much for him. Now, he is finding his cruising speed. I’m happy for him because he represents quite well which I like. When he’s not good, he doesn’t say it’s the coach’s fault, he questions himself and he works. I’m satisfied with his behavior and his development. And That’s what I love about rugby and with my players.”
