A poster with Jesus Christ provoked a new scandal in Spain
Many Spaniards were outraged when they saw a poster depicting a young and very handsome Jesus. What’s interesting is that Christ is wearing only a loincloth.

It is worth noting that this poster was created by the world famous Seville artist Salustiano García Cruz.
People do not understand why Jesus was depicted without a crown of thorns, without a suffering face and with small wounds on his arms and chest.
As journalists learned, the poster was commissioned and approved by the General Council of Fraternities, which organizes the famous and extremely popular Holy Week processions in Seville on the eve of Easter.
In addition, it is reported that about 14 thousand people from across the country signed a petition on the website Change.org demanding the withdrawal of the poster depicting Jesus.

According to the artist Garcia, only old-fashioned people criticize his work.
There is nothing revolutionary in the film. It is modern, but all the elements that I used are elements that have been used over the past seven centuries in sacred art,” the artist explained.
He also frankly admitted that he used his son Horacio as a model for the poster.
“A lot of controversy arises because the model is too good, Christ is too good, too attractive,” Horacio Garcia said, but stressed that he also received many compliments and good wishes from people.
