Slatina County Emergency Hospital Implements Strict Measures to Limit Flu Spread – Ministry of Health Declares Epidemiological Alert

Because the Ministry of Health declared a state of epidemiological alert due to the flu, the Slatina County Emergency Hospital took a series of measures to limit illnesses. Thus, in several sections of the medical unit, visits are prohibited, and where relatives can enter the patient’s bed, they are allowed to stay for no more than 10 minutes and must wear a mask.

Specifically, the management of the Slatina County Emergency Hospital announced on Saturday, February 3, that, during the period of the epidemiological alert due to the flu, the following measures will be applied to control and limit illnesses:
• Prohibiting the access of people from outside the hospital to the ATI departments, Intensive Care Neonatology, Pediatrics, Intensive Therapy Coronary, Acute Therapy Neurology, Oncology, Hematology, surgical departments, Infectious Diseases;
•Limiting the number of visitors to one patient and shortening the duration of the visit (below 10 min);
• Access to a single relative/visitor/patient is allowed, no more than 2 visitors at the same time in the salon;
• The access of the members to the section will be done with the mandatory wearing of the individual protective equipment;
• When entering and leaving the department, members/visitors will disinfect their hands with hydroalcoholic solutions at the entrance to the department;
• Prohibition of access to members with clinically visible respiratory conditions.

“We remind you that the visiting schedule for patients admitted to the Slatina County Emergency Hospital, valid for the wards where access to visitors is not restricted, is included in the time intervals:
-Monday-Friday 13.30 – 17.30;
-Saturday-Sunday: 11.00 – 17.00.
The visiting schedule and visiting rules are displayed at the entrance of each department. Relatives are not allowed to enter the hospital outside of visiting hours.
In order to limit illnesses, we recommend the wearing of protective masks by all visitors, from the moment they enter the health facility”. it is stated in a press release of the Slatina Hospital, signed by the manager Angela Nicolae.
