Insider Dusk Golemwho was the first to write about the fact that on State of Play Silent Hill: The Short Message will be announced and released, commented users’ dissatisfaction with the recent gameplay trailer for the remake of Silent Hill 2.
According to him, this trailer was almost identical and included much of the same footage as the one he saw back in May 2023. Thus, Konami didn’t even update the footage for the current build of the game, using what they had lying around for almost a year. The only difference he noticed was the new VHS scene at the beginning of the video. At the same time, the game developer was also dissatisfied with the quality of the trailer that was released Konami – a very strange decision from a Japanese publisher.
It is unknown whether the quality of the project has changed dramatically for the better in almost a year since the recording of this video, but this gives hope that the final quality of the project will be better than what was presented during the State of Play trailer.
The remake of Silent Hill 2 will be released on PC and PS5. The game is expected to be released this year.
