Adel Imam’s Son Mohammed Denies Family’s Decision to Prevent Father’s Public Appearances

Egyptian artist Mohamed Imam denied, for the first time, the validity of what is being circulated regarding the family’s decision to prevent his father, Adel Imam, from appearing in public events and the media, and to prohibit stars from visiting him inside his home.

Muhammad Imam confirmed that the leader enjoys his life with his grandchildren and receives only those close to his friends, in response to accusations against him and his brother, director Rami Imam, that they prevent their father from appearing.

Muhammad Imam said in television statements that his father is happy with his children’s success and diligence, and added: “And what is said that we prevent him from appearing… this is not true. Why will we prevent him from appearing? People are visiting him at home and the man is on a break with his grandchildren and enjoying his life.”

Muhammad Imam also spoke about some calling him the “little leader” and said: “I was afraid of the title at first, but I got used to it,” noting that the title in itself is a very big responsibility.
The head of the Acting Professions Syndicate, the artist Ashraf Zaki, had previously apologized to the family of the artist Adel Imam and all his fans, on behalf of the Lebanese star Madeleine Tabar, after her controversial statements about the leader’s detention in his home by a decision from his family, and Zaki provided a personal testimony about his recent contact with Adel Imam, He denied all rumors about his deteriorating health condition and his Alzheimer’s disease.

Tabar said in her post that she had hoped that the artist Adel Imam would attend in honor of him at the sixteenth session of the National Festival of Egyptian Theater, and his family should rethink this matter, as it is not a requirement for him to speak, but his presence is sufficient. She added that the presence of Yousra and Lebleba to celebrate the birthday Adel Imam “stormed” the house to check on him, after his family refused to show him up and prevented him from using his mobile phone.
Tabar’s statements were met with violent attack at the time, so she defended herself, saying: “Everything I said may have been unbridled in my love for the leader. It was a longing to see him. It is a message of love and appreciation for the leader, and through it I offer a hope to his family that he will show us his honor.”
Madeline Tabar concluded her explanation: “All respect and appreciation for any decision made by his family, but I lovingly aspired to see him on stage honored, and it was necessary to clarify so that I would not be misunderstood, and a message of love and longing would turn into something I did not intend at all.”
