The actor said that people who are reluctant to spend money on a content-oriented film will understand that if a commercial film becomes a hit in Malayalam, the possibilities in Malayalam have increased than before.
Tovino was speaking in an interview with Ginger Media Entertainment as part of the promotion of his new film. The actor added that when the movie Empuraan comes, we achieve the tag of being an Indian movie.

Every industry grows only slowly. Every time there are big hit movies, new doors are opened. Now when we look at a movie like 2018, we get a new channel because that movie is a hit.
Daring to take it to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana or Andhra and release it. Because there are people out there to accept those films. That’s what every big movie achieves.
