Jacob Öqvist must also pay SEK 1,000 to the Crime Victims Fund. He has stated in police questioning that he sought help for his addiction problem.

Had to interrupt interrogation

The comedian and radio personality had two blood alcohol levels when the police stopped him. The interrogation had to be interrupted due to intoxication.

In the police’s preliminary investigation, it appears that the police believed that a rear tire on the car was on fire. The tire was torn to shreds and when Jacob Öqvist continued to drive at high speed, sparks formed so that it looked like it was on fire – half the rim was worn away.

When Jacob Öqvist blew into the breathalyzer, he had 1.04 milligrams per liter in his blood – that corresponds to approximately 2 parts per thousand.

The limit for serious drunken driving is 0.50 milligrams per liter, so the comedian was well over the limit.

– I thought I had a puncture and was going to stop at a pub to buy foam that you can have to fix the tire with. It felt like a “piss off” and it was heavy traffic and dark so I didn’t dare stop on the highway, said Jacob Öqvist in the first interrogation with the police, according to Aftonbladet.

After a while, the police were forced to stop the interview with the radio profiler as he was simply too drunk.

In a second interrogation, Jacob Öqvist admitted the suspected crime. He claims that he drank two bottles of wine the night before but that he felt fit to drive the car.

Seen in several TV shows

Over the years, Jakob Öqvist has appeared in several comedy programs on TV. In autumn 2004, he was in “Sen väll med Luuk” and has also been an actor in the TV programs “Hem till Midgård”, “Spung”, “Bank Fur alle!” and “Nicke and Nilla”.

In addition, he has played theater and been a radio host in “Vakna med The Voice”, and in the channel Rockklassiker where he together with Jonas Nilsson and Little mother bakes participated in the program “Morronrock”, which broadcast every weekday morning.

Nowadays he is back at Mix Megapol where he takes part in “Gry Forssell with friends”.
