Chelsea signed youngster Andrey Santos from Vasco da Gama in the winter of 2023, but the 19-year-old was loaned straight back to the Brazilian club for the remainder of the 2022-23 season.
In order to secure regular playing time, he was again loaned out during the summer. This time to Premier League club Nottingham Forest. But there were only two appearances for a total of 97 minutes throughout the autumn, so Chelsea canceled the loan earlier in January.
Now he has been loaned out for the third time in the space of a year.
Santos will spend the spring 2024 season on loan at Ligue 1 club RC Strasbourg. The French club is also owned by Todd Boehly’s conglomerate which owns Chelsea.
The club is in tenth place in Ligue 1.
