A serious accident on the main road Plovdiv – Haskovo claimed two lives and two others were injured, reported the press center of the regional directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Plovdiv.
Around 4:00 p.m., the regional office in Asenovgrad received a report of a head-on collision between two cars at the exit of the village of Popovitsa in the direction of Haskovo.
According to preliminary information, one of the cars went off the roadside. According to preliminary data, two people died, and two others were injured and transported to a Plovdiv hospital.
Teams of the police, emergency medical assistance and the fire department with specialized equipment are directed to the place. Traffic in both directions is diverted through the village of Plodovitovo.
