Musician and Author Charged with Murder: Justin Mohn, Son of Victim, Arrested in Bucks County

A shocking crime has unfolded in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, as musician and author Justin Mohn finds himself facing murder charges. The 32-year-old has been accused of killing his 68-year-old father, Michael Mohn, whose decapitated body was discovered in his Middletown home on Tuesday evening. The gruesome details of the crime have left the community in shock and disbelief.

According to court documents, Justin Mohn used a machete and a large kitchen knife, both of which were found by police in a bathtub. The victim’s head was wrapped in plastic and placed in a large cooking pot. The brutality of the crime is difficult to comprehend, and authorities are still trying to determine the motive behind this horrific act.

Police apprehended Justin Mohn at Fort Indiantown Gap, a National Guard Training Center located around 100 miles away from Bucks County. The reason for his presence in this area, known for being the busiest training center in the nation, remains unclear. Mohn was arraigned on murder charges at midnight in Fort Indiantown Gap, confirming the decapitation of Michael Mohn.

In addition to the murder charge, Justin Mohn also faces charges of possession of an instrument of crime and abuse of a corpse. The disturbing nature of the crime is further underscored by a video that Justin Mohn posted on YouTube, titled “A call to arms.” In this 14-1/2 minute rant against the federal government, Mohn brandishes what he claims to be his father’s severed head. Although he does not explicitly admit to killing his father in the video, he calls for the execution of all federal workers, accusing them of betraying American citizens.

Michael Mohn was a retired civil engineer with the Army Corps of Engineers and had worked as a federal employee for 20 years. In the YouTube video, Justin Mohn expresses his disdain for what he describes as far-left, Woke, pro-immigrant, pro-Black Lives Matter, and pro-LGBTQ influences in the federal government. He alleges that these forces are destroying America and calls for violence against federal agents, US Marshals, federal judges, and border patrol.

The video was eventually taken down by YouTube after being viewed more than 6,000 times. In it, Justin Mohn claims to be the acting President of the United States and offers a $1 million bounty on high-ranking government officials. His extremist views and violent rhetoric are deeply disturbing and have left authorities grappling with the question of how someone could harbor such hatred.

Prior to this shocking incident, Justin Mohn presented a vastly different persona online. On his Facebook page, he promoted his albums “The Story of Humanity” and “Colorfunkinrado,” describing his music as a blend of rock, funk, and hip-hop. He also identified himself as the author of seven books and a musician who had released three albums and one single. His online presence provides a stark contrast to his disturbing actions.

This tragedy has also shed light on Justin Mohn’s legal battles with the federal government. He had previously filed lawsuits against the U.S. Department of Education and other government entities, expressing his dissatisfaction with student loans and his struggle to find satisfactory employment. However, these legal disputes do not justify or excuse the heinous crime he is now accused of committing.

As the investigation continues, the community of Bucks County mourns the loss of Michael Mohn and grapples with the shocking reality that a musician and author they may have known has been charged with such a brutal act. The motives behind this crime may never be fully understood, but it serves as a reminder of the darkness that can lurk within seemingly ordinary individuals.
