Temporary foreign trade data for the month of December last year and the whole of 2023, created within the framework of cooperation with the Ministry of Trade and the Turkish Statistical Office, have been announced.
Therefore, exports under the General Trade System (GTS) increased by 0.4 percent to $23 billion in December 2023 compared to the corresponding month of last year, while imports decreased by 11 percent to $29 billion and 39 million dollars.
The foreign trade deficit decreased by 37.8 percent at the annual level in December 2023 from 9 billion 713 million dollars to 6 billion 39 million dollars.
While the scope of export-import was 70.2 percent in December 2022, it was 79.2 percent last month.
