Film in the West notifying now The fact that the classic “Tordyveln flies at dusk” by Maria Gripe and Kay Pollack becomes a TV series on SVT. The story takes place in the small town of Ringaryd in Småland during the summer of 1976 when the three young people David, Annika and Jonas are drawn into a mystery involving a 3000 year old Egyptian statue.
“Tordyveln flyger i skymningen” was originally made as a radio series during the summer of 1976 and in 1978 Maria Gripe’s book on the same story came out. The follow-up has been broadcast several times and the book has been printed in numerous editions. In 1979 it was also recorded as radio theater in Norway by NRK and has been named the best radio theater of all time in Norway.
In the TV series, Hjalmar Löfmark Yilmaz, Moa Nåsander and Einar Alvarado Lönberg will play the young people, while Tomas von Brömssen, Pernilla August, Dag Malmberg and Lena Endre can be seen in other roles. The script is written by Ditta Bongenhielm (“Bonus family”, “Höök”) and Lovas Milles (“Jordskott”, “Our time is now”) and directed by Atle Knudsen (“Afterglow”, “Zombie-Lars”).
“Tordyveln flyger i skymningen” will begin filming in May and will premiere on SVT and SVT Play sometime in 2025.
