Shannen Doherty has given a positive update about the treatment of her metastatic breast cancer. That treatment finally seems to be working, the American actress says in her podcastst Let’s Be Clear.
“After four treatments we didn’t really see any difference, and everyone wanted me to try something different,” says 52-year-old Doherty, who is best known for the series Charmed in Beverly Hills, 90210.
“But I thought: we’ll continue with it and see what happens.” A positive effect was visible after the sixth or seventh treatment.
Doherty thinks it is a “miracle”, she says. “For me, that’s really it now. I took a chance and decided to persevere,” says the actress. “It’s as if God has intervened and said: I’ll give her some relief.”
Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer several times. The disease has now spread to her brain and bones.
