Public Transport Warning Strike Paralyzes Frankfurt – Trams and Subways at a Standstill on February 2nd

    Despite the public transport warning strike on Friday, February 2nd, S-Bahn trains, regional trains and buses are running in Frankfurt. Subways and trams, on the other hand, are at a standstill.

    Frankfurt – The upcoming warning strikes in local public transport are also expected to paralyze the subways and trams in Frankfurt am Main. It is expected that all nine subway lines and ten tram lines will be on strike from the start of operations on Friday, February 2nd.

    The failure of the subway in particular will hit many commuters hard. However, S-Bahn, regional trains and the city bus lines in Frankfurt are still in operation and can therefore be used as alternatives. However, it is to be expected that bus traffic will become more noticeable due to significantly increased demand.

    Public transport warning strike hits Frankfurt – trams and subways are at a standstill

    The municipal transport company traffiQ and VGF advise their passengers to find out about the current traffic situation shortly before departure. This information can be obtained via radio stations, the RMV service telephone 069 / 24 24 80 24, which is available around the clock, or via the RMV website be obtained.

    Despite the public transport warning strike, the following lines are expected to continue to operate:

    • the S-Bahn lines (S1 to S5, S7 to S9)
    • the regional trains
    • the bus routes (including rail replacement services)
