“In this security we involved a total of 2,304 joint personnel from Polda Metro Jaya, Polres Metro Central Jakarta, TNI, and related agencies,” said Chief of Metro Police for Central Jakarta, Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro in his statement, Wednesday (31/1).
Thousands of personnel will be stationed around the demonstration location. The police anticipate acts of anarchy during the demonstration.
“We are also anticipating that the crowd will not enter and close the toll road in front of the DPR building. We have prepared the fire brigade to anticipate if the crowd will set fire to tires,” he said.
