As part of the fight against mafias dedicated to extortion and illegal loans ‘drop by drop’, police from the Homicide Investigation Division dismantled the criminal gang ‘Los Internacionales’ in Chosica and arrested seven of its members in flagrante delicto. .
The criminal group would be formed by Venezuelan citizens Jose Manuel Veliz (24), Carlos Solorzano Andrea (21), Estefany Yasmir Rodriguez Sanchez (19), Hector Jose Mirabal Tobar (38), Jose Gabriel Rodriguez Arrae (20), Rudy Zaradi Rodriguez Arraiz (29) and Cris Cruz Rafael Rodriguez (43).
The seven detainees are being investigated for allegedly being linked to acts of extortion perpetrated in the form of ‘drop by drop’ loans, against merchants and motorcycle taxi drivers in the area.
Threats of death
Those intervened would have threatened their victims with an attack on their lives and those of their families if they did not comply with the required interests.
During the intervention, carried out on the second floor of a building, two hand-made explosives were found. As part of this operation, two firearms (a pistol and a revolver) and 90 plastic bags with cocaine hydrochloride and marijuana were also seized.
In addition, seven motorcycles, 1,080 business cards related to the aforementioned express credits and notebooks with notes on the loans made, clients and payment dates, among other details, were seized.
The police officers verified that the detainees are in irregular immigration status in the country and began the proceedings of the case to investigate background information, requirements, Interpol alerts or complaints.
“I don’t fall into extortion”
This achievement occurred within the framework of the Mininter and PNP campaigns “I do not fall into extortion, I report!” and “Drop by drop lending is a crime”, whose purpose is to inform the population about these crimes, as well as the reporting channels that will allow the authorities to dismantle these networks.
