In Roland Trettl’s “Celebrity First Dates” “Manta, Manta” star Tina Ruland dares to go on a blind date – and is bitterly disappointed.
Cologne – Roland Trettl (52) is one of the busiest TV matchmakers and was able to welcome several celebrities on his popular VOX show “First Dates” on Monday evening (January 29th). Actress Tina Ruland (57) also took part in the dating experiment. But the evening ended in disappointment.
Tina Ruland on “Celebrity First Dates”: The person you are talking to talks about his ex when they get to know each other
The first few minutes of getting to know each other weren’t exactly romantic: her blind date Roland, a namesake of the host, isn’t exactly Tina Ruland’s idea. Ultimately, however, what matters to the 57-year-old is what’s inside. But the “Manta, Manta” actress didn’t really warm up to her counterpart. The father of the family made a likeable impression, but was a little too impressed by the fame of his “Celebrity First Dates” partner.

There were also various unpleasant moments, such as when Roland Trettl took the order for the starter. Because Tina Ruland explained that she mainly eats vegan, her date suddenly seemed unsettled and no longer wanted to order a meat dish. The Cologne native was “so ironic and so quick-witted,” he remarked smugly, which the 57-year-old apparently didn’t like at all. She finally asked him to please eat whatever he wanted. When Roland talks about his ex-wife a little later, he seems to have finally lost his chances. “I would avoid talking about my ex on the first date if possible,” said the actress, who was not very enthusiastic.
“Celebrity First Dates” rejection: Tina Ruland doesn’t want a second date
After all: Roland bears the costs of the evening, as befits an old-school gentleman. But the spark doesn’t seem to have spread. The two “didn’t meet each other on the same level,” complained Tina Ruland in her “Celebrity First Dates” final interview. The 57-year-old said, disappointedly, that he mainly “only saw the actress” and didn’t get involved with the film celebrity as a private person.

“I don’t think we’re compatible,” she tells Roland. He shouldn’t “waste” his time with her. The application and business coach accepts this, but actually would have liked a second date. Another show moment also caused a stir: Jutta Speidel firmly rejected the “you” on “Celebrity First Dates”. Sources used: “Celebrity First Dates” (VOX/RTL+; edition from January 29, 2024), rtl.de
