Malik Abubakari was recruited to Malmö FF in the summer of 2021. Then the striker joined from Moreirense FC and signed a contract until 2025.
However, Abubakari has not received the trust of MFF and the striker has been loaned to HJK Helsingfors and Slovan Bratislava on two occasions.
In Slovakia, the 23-year-old scored ten goals and one assist in 48 games. However, a move from MFF has been highly topical, not least when the player was not allowed to accompany him to Marbella for training camp.

According to information to Expressen, Viborg FF is working on bringing in Abubakari on loan. The parties are details from an agreement and Viborg will also have a purchase option.
The hope is to complete the deal before tonight or tomorrow and then the player will be medically examined before it becomes official.
Malik Abubakari has been recorded for eight goals and two assists in 38 games.
