Banco do Brasil has already made some attempts to sell the debt it owes to WTorre for the construction of Allianz Parque to Crefisa. The offer was made directly to Leila Pereira, who refused because she was unable to remove the construction company from managing the stadium.
The last offer was made last year, with the value reaching around R$600 million, but the president of Palmeiras said she would not be interested in the deal. In her view, WTorre does not honor its commitments. As an example, she cited the legal fight in which Alvivede charges more than R$140 million that have not been transferred since 2015.
Banco do Brasil financed the renovation of the old Palestra Itália and made an agreement with WTorre to be paid for this by receiving part of the revenue generated by the exploration of Allianz Parque.
