National Winning Team (TPN) Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md admitted that they experienced something similar experienced by pair number 1 Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin. TPN had difficulty ordering buses to transport supporters there Ganjar’s grand concert at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK).
Deputy Chairman of TPN, Andi Gani Nena Wea, said the difficulties had occurred since last night. He received reports from fellow workers and supporters of candidate pair number 3 around Jabodetabek.
“Friends 01, as he announced last night and today, they announced, for the campaign at JIS they had difficulty getting buses and even got cancellations and apparently, this was experienced by us 03, fellow workers in Tangerang, Bekasi and Bogor , starting to have difficulty contacting bus POs to go to GBK,” said Andi at the TPN Ganjar-Mahfud Media Center in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (30/1/2024).
Andi said that currently his party is checking and collecting evidence regarding the incident. However, Andi ensured that this would not dampen the enthusiasm of volunteers and supporters of Ganjar-Mahfud who came from working circles to attend the big concert.
“We don’t understand whether this is systematic, whether it was intentional, we are checking,” he said.
“Because we need thousands of buses leaving on the 3rd, we will check and if there are really obstacles, we will prepare an official release about the party experiencing it and who is trying to hinder it. We will look for evidence first, we cannot accuse any party before us. get definite evidence,” he continued.
Andi also said that his party would look for alternative transportation to GBK if they couldn’t get a bus. For example, by coming to GBK in droves using motorbikes or on foot.
“I assure you, if there are individuals who block the departure of Ganjar-Mahfud supporters to GBK, we from the labor group, will go by motorbike and this will certainly be very difficult for the authorities to prevent tens of thousands of workers from entering Jakarta. Therefore, we urge you, if “There are parties who deliberately prevent or circumvent or make it difficult for the Ganjar-Mahfud supporters to leave, we remind them not to do this,” he stressed.
Andi estimates that the crowd that gathered at GBK for the big concert reached 150 thousand. The crowd came from workers, volunteers, party supporters and the general public.
“Because there is huge pressure from the public for us to do something big in the nation’s capital and hopefully it will happen on the 3rd and I am sure the crowd will be overwhelming, despite the obstacles we started experiencing last night, ” he said.
