FARMERS – The first tractor has already returned to the capital. While two farmers’ unions have called for a “siege of the capital” from Monday January 29, Baptiste Létocart wanted to mark the occasion by bringing the first tractor into Paris. And he did it… running.
To “park” his tractor in the heart of Paris, the native of Oise (60) used Strava, an application which allows you to draw on a map the route covered during a running session . In total, it took him a little less than three hours to complete the 33.7 kilometers necessary for his project which saw him pass through Montmartre or near the Eiffel Tower.

With his challenge of the first tractor in Paris, Baptiste Létocart has two objectives. The first is simply to support farmers, “a profession that [lui] is close to my heart ». His second goal is that his sporting prowess can “raise awareness as much as possible” on the current situation and that it is useful “so that people go and find out”.
This is not the first time that this farmer’s grandson has provided his support to the farming world. In 2019, he launched Farmr with his partner Thomas Camboulive. This is a social network for farmers who can communicate more easily with each other despite rural areas which are becoming deserted and where meeting places are gradually disappearing.
