The brother of the man, who was discovered inside a dismembered Brooklyn refrigerator, reiterated that his relative was not a drug dealer.
“He was a very good person,” said the brother of Kawsheen Gelzer. “He wasn’t a drug dealer or a bad person.. “He had a family that always loved him and cared about him.”
Last week, Authorities found the disarticulated and decapitated body of Gelzer, 40, inside a refrigerator taped shut. in an apartment located on Nostrand Ave. near Farragut Road in Flatbush. He was identified thanks to his fingerprints.

“We haven’t seen my brother in three years because he wanted to live his own life.“said Gelzer’s brother, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “He had a family that he could reach out to and be there, but he didn’t want that. We knew he disappeared. We published a report and everything”.
The mystery of his disappearance came last Monday, when officials received a report of a possible body in Heather Stines’ apartment45 years old.

Gelzer was a registered sex offender, who was sentenced to two years in prison in 2007 for first-degree sexual abuse.. According to the state sex offender registry, He was arrested for raping a 12-year-old boy in 2004.
Even with these accusations against him, his brother continues to defend him.
“He’s not a child molester or anything like that,” the brother said. “These are all false accusations that came to light years ago.. “They’re bringing up something that happened years ago that’s not even true.”
