This Sunday, a fire that started at the Villa la Angostura Waste Treatment Center was brought under control. Luckily there were no victims, no injuries, nor material damage to the facilities, only waste and other storage materials were burned.
Volunteer Firefighters, personnel from the Forest Fire Brigade who have their headquarters in our town, as well as members of Police Station 28, municipal Civil Protection and an ambulance from the Dr. Oscar Arraiz Hospital went to the scene of the emergency.
Firefighters personnel continued working last night to cool down the place and the municipality requested that they respect the instructions of the Traffic personnel “who work at the site and travel with extreme caution, given that there are moments of smoke that make normal vision difficult.” .
