Mexican Nationals Extradited to US for Sexual Crimes: Compliance with Extradition Treaty

MEXICO CITY, January 28 (EL UNIVERSAL).- The Attorney General’s Office (FGR), in different criminal cases, extradited two people of Mexican nationality accused of sexual crimes to the United States Government.

This is in compliance with the Extradition Treaty signed between Mexico and the neighboring country to the north.

In the first case, Gonzalo Gutiérrez was required by the Superior Court of the State of California, for the County of Santa Bárbara, for sexual abuse against three minors.

Gutiérrez was located in August 2023 in Jocotepec, Jalisco, and detained for extradition purposes.

In the second case, Ricardo Cabrera, who sexually assaulted three minors, was summoned by the District Court of El Paso County, Texas.

He was located and detained for extradition purposes in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, in September

The delivery of these people took place at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM), to the US agents designated for their transfer.
