Supreme Court Advocate C.S. Vaidyanathan to Plead KSIDC’s Case in High Court Regarding Veena Vijayan’s Company

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM ∙ KSIDC has appointed a lawyer named C.S. Vaidyanathan, who appeared for Ramlalla in the Ayodhya Ramjanmabhoomi case in the Supreme Court, to plead the case in the High Court regarding the company of the Chief Minister’s daughter Veena. He appeared online in the High Court on the 24th and sent a letter to KSIDC demanding Rs 25 lakh as a one-day fee. Apart from this, office charges should also be paid. It is indicated that he will be present in the subsequent sittings as well.

KSIDC, under the Industries Department, has 13.4% or Rs 1.05 crore investment in CMRL, which is in controversy related to Veena’s company.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs is conducting an inquiry under 210 of the Companies Act after finding the explanation given by KSIDC to be unsatisfactory regarding the cash transactions between Exalogic and CMRL. KSIDC is the fourth respondent in the petition in the High Court seeking a probe by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office.

The senior lawyer was approached in the situation where the investigation was getting tighter. The management of KSIDC, which is fully owned by the government, cannot do this without the direction of the government.
