Sanna Nielsen was repeatedly asked if she was pregnant.

She was secretly grieving a miscarriage.

– I’m breaking down, she says in “The stars in the castle”.

Sanna Nielsen39, is the mother of a two-year-old Gibson.

Now she talks for the first time about the grief before her son arrived.

In autumn 2019, the artist became pregnant but suffered a miscarriage.

In “Stjärnorna på slotlett” Nielsen describes how during her time as host of “Allsång på Skansen” she was repeatedly asked by newspapers if she was pregnant.

– During all these years I had a lot of media, I had interviews at the all-singing and it was a question that I always got that I got so incredibly tired of. And it was that: “We have heard from a reliable source that you are pregnant,” she says.

“Therapy on stage”

She denied every time, but in the summer of 2020 it was too much.

– Then it’s a pandemic and I’m going to do an interview and they say: “We’ve heard that you’re going to be pregnant, congratulations”. And I break down. Because what they don’t know then, is that I had the fall before a miscarriage.

When Mark Levengoodalso a participant in “The stars at the castle”, wonders how she processed the grief and if she had time for it, Sanna Nielsen answers:

– I had my therapy on stage.

Had a baby in 2021

In May 2021, Sanna Nielsen shared the happy news that she was pregnant and on October 30 of the same year, she and her partner became Joakim Ramsell51, parents of son Gibson.

– Then little Gibson came in the end anyway, so then motherhood came in and my whole focus changed, of course, she says in the program.
