A legendary figure of the 2000s, Lorie returns with an EP celebrating her most iconic pieces, recorded with the artists of the moment.
It is a return to the musique most unexpected. Lorieknown in the 2000s for her cult titles I will be (your best friend), On a Latin tune or I’m fastreleases this Friday January 26, 2024 a new EP entitled Hyper Lorie Vol. 1, covering five of his most famous songs and promising a sequel to this deliberately nostalgic compilation. It’s been almost seven years since the now 41-year-old singer released an album — since Things of life. This is the first time she has returned to her old hits in such a direct way.
In 2001, Lorie marked an entire generation with her album Near you and his playful style revitalizing music aimed at young adolescents, with his now cult lyrics.
A collaboration with today’s artists
To cover her old hits, Lorie called on young singers of the moment, in order to enrich the principle of the cover with new sounds and different sensibilities.
So, in Hyper Lorie Vol. 1early fans can find On a Latino tune with the singer Brö, Play with Bilal Hassani, I need Love with Adé, I will be (your best friend) with Piche and 2 lorenmoi with Kalika. More or less well-known artists in full development, which Lorie seeks to highlight with her new album.
