For the sake of justice, one thing must be said right away – 2025 as a deadline for the new platform is not set in stone and it will be quite difficult to fulfill it. “Right now, our plan is to start production by the end of 2025, which is the second half of the year,” Musk said as he joined Tesla’s conference call for Q4 2023 financial results.

Musk also said that increasing production volumes on a new and “revolutionary” production line will be difficult. “We will need engineers to live on the line. It’s not something you take off the shelf and it just works,” says Musk.
It is planned that the new platform will initially go into production at the Tesla factory in Texas, but it is planned to be used for Tesla’s budget class model for about 25 thousand dollars.
