Italian racing legend Valentino Rossi talked a lot about Indonesia at the launch of his team, Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing in Riccione, Italy. In fact, Rossi thinks that there are similarities between Indonesia and his country in the past.
First of all, in the team presentation session, Rossi expressed his happiness at being able to establish a partnership with a company from Indonesia, namely Pertamina Lubricants through the Pertamina Enduro product.
“Yes, of course (I’m proud of this collaboration). The story of this team has been going on for quite a long time because it has gone through 11 different seasons and since 2022 we have been in MotoGP after being in Moto3,” said Rossi during the VR46 Racing Team team presentation, quoted Saturday (27/1).

“We have always had good cooperation (with companies) in the past, but in particular we are happier and proud of the Pertamina Enduro partnership,” he added.

According to Rossi, Indonesia is one of the biggest MotoGP markets in the world. That is why, as a racing team, they feel that this synergy will work well and can further strengthen its relationship with Indonesia.
“Indonesia is one of the most important places for MotoGP in the world, because its ambitions are extraordinary,” he said.
Interestingly, on the same occasion, Rossi also talked about his experience when visiting Indonesia. He saw that Indonesia was similar to Italy three or four decades ago. Because, there are many motorbikes whose hobby is speeding on the highway.
“When you live there (Indonesia) and look at the highways, you will see Italy in the 90s or 80s. Everyone was riding motorbikes and going crazy (full throttle) with 46 helmets. So the passion for MotoGP is very big and I’m very happy,” said Rossi.

For the record, the VR46 Racing and Pertamina Enduro partnership will last for three seasons. Later, the words ‘Pertamina Enduro’ will appear in contrast on The Doctor’s motorbike and team racing uniform.
Next season, the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team will field two young racers from Italy, namely Marco Bezzecchi and Fabio Diggia.
