Martin Dejdar’s father died. He starred in the Czech classic Sun, hay, erotica

Vlastimil Dejdar (†85), father of actor Martin Dejdar (58), died. Audiences know him thanks to his role in the iconic film Sun, Hay, Erotica. However, Dejdar was one of the non-actors, he made a living as a sailor and diplomat all his life. The cause of death remains a mystery to the public.

Dejdar the eldest is remembered by the audience as the president of the Italian JZD from the movie Sun, Hay, Erotica. For many years, the role of Zolli was the only one in which the audience could see Vlastimil Dejdar.

He recalled the shooting with humor, he said he received the script with the text about two minutes before the shooting, so that he could appear as natural as possible in his role.

In the end, he played in one more picture after all. Alongside his son Martin and grandson Matěj, he appeared in the film Starí nie pro sraby directed by Tomáš Magnusko.

Vlastimil Dejdar is one of the non-actors, his profession was a ship engineer. For twelve years he sailed as a naval officer with the Czechoslovak Navy.

Dejdar was ninety-three years old at the time of his death, he was born in Chrudim, he lived all his life in nearby Chrasti. He grew up without a father and studied at a military school in Bratislava. He then joined the Naval Academy in Varna. During his life he was also active in diplomacy.

The reason for Dejdar’s death remains a secret to the public.
